Rock walls

With these Wallworker forms, you do not need any stone masonry experience to build beautiful, professional looking walls simply and quickly. Once you get some experience you can build a rock wall in about the same time it takes to build a double brick wall.

Rocks that are difficult to lay using conventional methods (e.g. round river rock) are simple to lay using the forms because you have the sides of the forms to sit the rocks against which holds it in place. This also allows to you to use a wider selection of rocks within your rock pile.

A simple and effective way to build a stone wall using this formwork is to use brickies mortar (sand and cement) to lay the rocks at the front of your wall and concrete (sand, cement, and gravel) as fill behind the rocks in the wall. Once you get some experience, you can build a rock wall in about the same time as it takes to build a double brick wall.

The brickies mortar allows you to squish the rocks into the mortar giving you a finer line of mortar between each rock. Also, the forms can be removed while the mortar is still setting, so you can rake out the excess mortar between each rock. Letting you highlight each rock in your wall.
